Markeymark is right. Those of us in the UK can watch the golf channel without subscribing to any of the US tv providers, the golf channel is supposedly only free to those who have an active subscription to American tv providers. If that's the case, the nbcsn addon has been pirating this channel.

The point really, isn't whether a patch is being applied or not. We all appreciate all you do, but you cannot say that you or any of the Kodi team were ignorant of the fact that the Golf channel was being accessed for free outside the US. All the time this addon was providing that channel for free, it WAS/IS supporting piracy, that's the whole point of this debate.

Supporting piracy is something different than accidentally proving a stream that the dev didn't know was not available outside the US cause he's in the US.

Also it is worth noting that it is not "piracy" as the stream is coming from the legitimate source who are entitled to provide it. Obviously there is a flaw in their content distribution system / security that has allowed this channel to be accessed when it should not be the case. It is an unintentional violation of the provider's terms and conditions of access.
