How about having a date added field in the video database?
A field that would not be updated when information is refreshed.
That way recently added would not be mangled by refreshing data

to anyone taking on this task; it is not as trivial as adding a new field, just fyi. refresh is a delete / insert.

Ok, just out of curiosity, does it have to be delete / insert?
Or would a pure refresh need even further code restructuring?

I would love the update library to be a refresh only as well. I use two NAS sources for movies and occasionally one shuts itself down due to power outage . If I have the update library automatically selected all the movies from the downed NAS get "cleaned" from the library on start up.
Thanks,
M
