Spotted vaguely in a few spots on the forum that there is support for .tbn files inside .iso - is this currently supported by xbmc-osx and if so, anyone know how it works?

That has never worked to my knowledge, regardless of platform.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
