I'm having a problem with an mkv file that plays fine over VLC and Quicktime + Perian. XBMC plays the video fine but there's no audio regardless of how I change the audio settings.

Under the information window of VLC, the audio stream has information as follows:
codec: mp4a
language: und
type: audio
channels: 6
sample rate: 48000 Hz
AAC extension: SBR

Anyone with an idea or two?

I'm having the exact same problem (regardless of video codec used). I'm running Atlantis Alpha 4 on Leopard 10.5.4. Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

I do not think XBMC support aacPlus yet (AAC SBR = aacPlus, a.k.a. AAC+), see:
