Screen positioning in widescreen
#1
Playing content which is wider than the screen results in black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

This is fine if you play on a TV or monitor, but if you use a projector, you usually want the image to be as high up as possible, so it would be nicer to have no bar at the top and a bar twice as high as the bottom. A nice side effect is that it would easier to place subtitles without obscuring the video.

Shouldn't be too complicated to implement, and would be a great imrovement for me, as stuff on the table would be less likely to obscure the image. It's one of those things that are obvious once you think about it, even if you never needed it before.

Then it'll have to wait until the Linux version gets a bit further along, as I don't have the necessary development environment for the XBox version.

The Linux port of XBMC is already quite far along, so is the Mac OS X port, and the Windows port...

Begin by reading this article:http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Appendix_D:_...ment_Notes

Linux:

So not having the XDK (or even an Xbox) is no good excuse any more Rolleyes
