Plugin Problems: Ninja Video & Infinity TV
#1
Haven't done anything out of the ordinary...updated to the new T3CH build. Ninja Video was working for me up until a few days ago and Infinity hasn't worked for me at all. Here are the debug logs for both:

Infinity TV: http://pastebin.com/m4c9b5075

Ninja video is changing its website, so the script is going to not work anymore.
The newest version of Infinity TV has a .asx file in it (top one I think) that will cause all of the other channels to fail if you try it. Just back out and try a different one if none of the channels work for you, or just use the first or second version of it (with ESPN as the top).

Hope this helps you.

It's a shame about Ninja Video, seeing as they had the had the best quality and speed. Hopefully another plug-in will come out as soon as everything is squared away with them.

I'll try out what you said for Infinity TV and get back to you with the results.

Thanks for your help!

I'm back! I got the previous version of Infinity (w/ ESPN China @ the top) and gave it a go. And it didn't go anywhere. It couldn't resolve the directory and it just hung there.

Finally when I cancelled it said it couldn't connect to the network server and it was a remote share.

Also looking at the bottom of the screen the channel list overlaps the message at the bottom where it says "Enjoy instant...blah blah blah" and I was just wondering if this is "normal" or not.

Ok some more things to try.

try the newest veohproxy for ninjavideo (1.3 as of now http://code.google.com/p/veohproxy/downloads/list. not the .exe because that's for a PC instead of xbox.)

infinity tv is a SCRIPT not a video plugin. I saw in the error log that you had it listed as a video plugin. put it in Q:\Scripts or E:\Apps\XBMC\Scripts. I should have noticed that earlier, but at least I caught it now.

I'd just like to re-iterate a couple of points that Nicoli made, firstly Infinity TV *IS* a script and needs to live in your scripts folder.. as a plugin it won't work.

Secondly.. if a channel you try to connect to fails then back out of the script and re-launch it. 98% of te channels listed play fine as they have been fed through a stream tester and the dead links weeded out.

Best of luck mate! :-)

I feel like a total f**kin noob!

I now feel like one of the idiots that I make fun of when they did the same thing I did. I'm so sorry for being I'm as stupid as I am.

Guess I shouldn't feel too bad seeing as nicoli didn't spot my mistake either Wink>

Thanks for correcting the error of my ways.

The Ninja Video plugin still works with XBMC 9.11 (linux) if you replace the pycrypto library.
I followed these steps to compile a new Crypto library:
1. download pycrypto-2.1.0.tar.gz
2. build and install with python2.4 (don't forget to install python2.4-dev package if you follow this)
python2.4 setup.py build
sudo python2.4 setup.py install --record mylog
3. check the "mylog" file to see where the new library went.
In my case was /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/Crypto/
4. replace the old Crypto directory from the Ninja Video plugin directory with the new one.

I have uploaded the final plugin files here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/vwzrmonnz2... Video.zip

Only the (Flash) movies will work, but it's still something Smile
