ltfearme Wrote:Is this correct, I following the wiki.
I should have read your post better.
This is not according to this section of the wiki.
http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Import_-_Exp...ing_an_URL

Please let me know where you found this.

I will be able to test on Alpha 4 later today, will report results.

The wiki states: "TVShow.nfo in the root folder of the TV Show that points to a show on TVDB.com"

I used 'zsori' in my domain name as I copied the url directly from the tvdb and thats just what it happened to be.

I will test with it removed. I think it would be good to take that into consideration though. I will also test with a lowercase nfo filename even though the wiki appear to be outdated.

Yes, but there is an example just below.
Anyways it works fine for me, there was no nfo file in the folder, so no wonder it did not work very well the last time around.

Ok, Im still not having that much luck. I still get the orginal Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica when it does the automatic scan as well as manual lookup.

I dont have the nfo file in all my sub-directories, only the ones that dont match or dont match correctly like above. Do I need them in all my sub-directories.

Im using Alpha 4

No only in the relevant show folders.

Please post your folder and file setup, where you set content and the set content options you use.

Ok, I have started again. This time with debug logging:

DEBUG: Found matching nfo file: D:\XBOXTEST\Battlestar Galactica (2003)\tvshow.nfo
DEBUG: Not a proper xml nfo file (Error document empty., col 0, row 0)

This will explain why its not working for me, but I dont know what to do to fix it as the wiki only says add a entry into the nfo which I did:

http://tvdb.com/index.php?tab=series&id=73545

Am I suppose to have some proper XML formatting in the nfo as well?

I re-read the wiki and noticed that there is two ways:
Are people that report it working have both? ie. Proper XML + a URL?

I re-read again! and noticed at the top there was:

Note: If you wish to import a movie, TV show, music video or episode into the library, use the corresponding format in the exported xml file and enclose it with the <videodb></videodb> tags. Examples can be seen below, as nfo files.

so having a look at tvshow xml example I assume <videodb> should be <tvshow>.

I then added that to the nfo file wrapping the url like so:

<tvshow>http://tvdb.com/index.php?tab=series&id=73545</tvshow>

the log now contains:

DEBUG: Found matching nfo file: D:\XBOXTEST\Battlestar Galactica (2003)\tvshow.nfo
DEBUG: VIDEO::CVideoInfoScanner::CheckForNFOFile Got details from nfo

this still does not download and add the series to the database. See this for the full log: http://pastebin.com/pastebin.php?dl=d1a4512df

Cheers
