Hi

Right, first off thank you for doing that for the A6210, much appreciated; installed and seems to be recognized OK, at least no error in the logs for mt76x2 like before, well done!

That said I have been having issues with Kodi and/or Wifi on the thing, keeps crashing and dropping out.

Wifi issues probably not related to this Alpha so no worries, I don't expect you to run it to ground. There's a whole bunch of stuff about IPv6 / IPV4 in the logs.
Logs below for your reference, maybe it'll help identify things which will make this amazing program better.

dmesg Logs

This second log hopefully shows the RPi rebooting using the Netgear A6210 Adapter when I got to try to check the Connection from the Libreelec config addon.
I later plugged in an 8812AU Device TP-Link T4U-v2 which works (better).

EDIT: Sorry to add the quoted log, the first demsg paste seems to be overwritten. See below.

Hi Milhouse,

While your added driver certainly getsthe Netgear A6210 recognised initially, I'm not convinced it is ready for prime time as regards stable Wifi goes. It works initially, but then drops out and loses the connection. Oddly if I keep the other Wifi adapter in at the same time it seems to stay up longer. If you leave the driver in there the Librelec folks might get lots of support calls for it to be working properly, your call, just giving you some feedback. I'm happy to leave it in there if it gets other folks interested to troubleshoot it in future though.

I haven't added the driver, only added the missing firmware, as the driver is in-tree and maintained by the kernel developers - leaving it enabled (and including the firmware) may mean if/when the issues are fixed there's nothing more LibreELEC has to do (other than bump the kernel, of course). It would be worth opening a kernel bug report for the wifi issues you are experiencing with your hardware: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/

Fully understood and thanks for your help thus far, appreciated. With the little skill and knowledge I have I have reported the issue here https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203657. cheers k.

There is some problem with missing text in latest builds.
If you go to settings of an addon there is almost no text at all, just empty boxes. 🤔

Latest working build for me is 0522.

Edit: Not all addons affected. Some work, some have missing text.
(Amazon Prime Music, Radio.de, TuneIn for example have missing text)

Ping the addon maintainers, looks like the Amazon Prime Music addon (and probably the others as well) store texts in the long deprecated strings.xml format and support for that has finally been dropped in kodi https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/16119 - so these addons need to be fixed.
