v19 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 19.0)
(2019-08-23, 03:12)AbRASiON Wrote: If you were to speculate a very approximate timeframe, what would you say that is? 6/12/18 months?

Predicting the future is hard.
We (at raspberry pi) are aiming that for the final Kodi 19 release we will have fully featured support for kodi
using gbm with ffmpeg/v4l2 hardware decode. 4K HEVC decode and HDR should be a part of this.

This is quite a big rework, so a lot of testing will be needed and nightly builds will be available for some months prior to release.

At the moment Milhouse is able to produce nightly builds for Pi4, but they lack hardware decode, so will be rather less functional
that the LibreELEC 9.2 RPi4 build and probably not usable as a media player.

Once we get to a point where hw decode is ready for testing I suspect you'll start seeing Milhouse builds for Pi4.
It's hard to predict when that will be ready. (The v4l2 guy is also the fkms guy and he has quite a list of jobs ahead).

I would suggest you concentrate on using a supported release when trying to get this kind of niche feature working, which would mean asking for support on the LibreELEC forum while using an official RPi2 release (eg. 9.1.002). Trying to get an advanced (non-standard) feature working with a bleeding edge build is potentially doubling your problems - start with a stable release first.

Well it's the same behavior in the standard build, so I guess this is not working in libreelec at all. :-(

That's entirely possible, or it broke at some point and there's probably not many people using this feature so it hasn't been noticed. Your best bet is to open an issue on the LibreELEC forum and hopefully someone familiar with the Bluetooth setup (which isn't me!) can take a look and if necessary fix whatever is broken.

Currently using build #0831 and noticed issue when utilising Fast Forward and Fast Reverse (CEC TV remote) where when wanting to go back into playback mode (via play/pause button on remote) kodi would appear to pause rather than play and/or video timer would appear to be counting time with no actual playback of either the video or audio stream. Tried and could re-create issue with more than one local network stored video file being played back.

Outcome is I am unable to fast forward or fast reverse then commence play back of video again normally from earlier/later position in file
I am using FF or FR buttons on remote to step through from slowest to fastest speeds in either direction and also notice unable to step through from fastest x32 speed over and into slowest x2 etc (cycling through speeds not working correctly?)

Kodi.log Containing many "large audio sync error" within log?  I have not attempted to step back through builds yet to understand when this issue started, anyone else noticing/aware of this issue?
