I am trying to get the AMT script working on my ubuntu box. I have tried just dumping the script in the script folder (like I do with my other scripts) and that didn't work. AMT does not show up. So I tried installing it from the script installer inside xbmc and it downloads the script but it freezes during the install and says it can't install the script.

interesting that you post right after pike dicovered this bug. are you working together.

it's a known issue, but are you trying to install the plugin or the script. if it's the plugin it goes in plugins/video/ there is a tutorial on how to do this in the python support forum.

if it's the script then it should go in scripts folder.

having said this there may be a difference where that is if your using platform method. i am unfamiliar with linux.

and having said all this, there are issues with the script in linux, so best to use the plugin AMTII for now. but you'll have to manually install it until i can figure out what is wrong with the installer.

ok the two installers xbmc-addons installer and svn repo installer now work in linux.

I am trying to install the script (Apple Movie Trailers pre0.99.5a).

Is this the installer you THIS are talking about? I just stuck it in the correct folder and amt still wont install.
