Movie fanart scraping?
#1
I currently have many movies that all have a corresponding NFO file containing an IMDB URL. My library is created 100% by scraping my movies folder with the IMDB scraper (all my movies/nfo files are in a single dir). I've noticed, though, that none of my movies have fanart when scraped from IMDB.

Is there a way to scrape fanart from somewhere else while still scraping all the other info from IMDB? Is there even a site that provides fanart for movies (that can be scraped) or does movie fanart have to be found/downloaded/associated manually?

Thanks,

Nic

I would also like to know if this can be done.

We almost need a mixed scraper that pulls movie info from IMDB and fanart from themoviedb.org .

I think that is how it is supposed to work, but most of the fanart I am missing is on themoviedb.org.

It should grab fanart from themoviedb if you have the scraper set to imdb. Check if fanart is set to enabled in the scraper settings.
What happens if you scrape manually for a single movie?

Jeroen is right.

You can also:
Use a program like Media Companion or Media Info Plus (Movie Info Plus).
Those programs scrape .nfo, .tbn, folder.jpg and fanart.jpg.
They will scrape from different sources.
