Music library fails to update (libid3tag.dll?)
#1
There are few albums which i cannot scan to the library. Progress bar hangs and based on CPU usage it isn't doing anything either.
Every time this happens this following error shows in log:

SEVERE: DLL: Q:\system\libid3tag.dll : realloc failed, crash imminent (Out of memory)

I'm using Atlantis beta1, is there possibly an updated version of this file somewhere? This was already a problem in alpha4. Oo

It could be your tags are causing problems in XBMC.
Ideally you could upload a problematic file somwhere and link to it for a dev to take a look.

Nevermind, something had corrupted some of the id tags. Instead of artist names and titles there were only squares Eek
Retagged those and scanning worked perfectly Nerd

Thing is.. they should not crash XBMC.
So if you still have examples I think Jonathan may appreciate them.

Yes - please give us any and all samples that cause a crash - we never, ever want to crash Smile
