XBMC Live booting to command line
#1
I've managed to get XBMC Live onto a USB flash drive after a bit of messing about.

(Had to use my Intel GFX based laptop to run the copy to USB option then copy the xorg.conf file from the ubuntu installation on the PC I want to run XBMC on to stop it from going to a black screen due to my ATI graphics)

Once I had done this and booted from the USB flash drive it boots to the username and password command screen.

Using xbmc/xbmc is accepted but XBMC doesn't actually boot. It instead goes to a command line saying...

Code:
(T: XBMCLiveCD)xbmc@XBMCLive:/$

Do I need to run a command from here to get into XBMC?

I know that on my Intel based laptop I can boot straight into the XBMC dash (PM3HD skined) and everything works as I'd assume it should without any username or password issue or needing to run any commands.

Try
Quote:dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
and resetting the xorg configuration.

Most probable explanation is that the xorg.conf you copied over is not valid, or has errors. Double check it.
