XBMC will not play Canon HF100 .m2ts files (AVCHD)

spiff Wrote:well, in theory the same thing can be done to live, i.e. you only need new .so files. however those are not in svn, they are built during the build process. all the tools for creating xbmclive is in tools/ afaik

Would anyone be willing to send me the relevant .so files from a recent SVN build that supports playing AVCHD files (.m2ts extension)? It was fixed on 11/25, so anything after that date would be OK. And where exactly do the files go?

If nobody wants to help, that is fine -- I will just wait for 9.04.

I also have a Canon HF100 and I would like to stream the .mts or .m2ts files directly to my XBMC. Right now I'm running the 8.10 Proper version and it doesn't properly support mts or m2ts. Does anyone know if the lates svn build has this support? If not then can someone recomend a good conversion meathod/program to convert these files to a good quality playable format? So far the best I've been able to come up with is the lates divx converter. Its easy and the resulting video plays great but has a softness to the image that bothers me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
