Any chance that fix will be merged into Atlantis branch? It looked like a one liner, but maybe it also needed an ffmpeg update. Is there low chance of causing regressions? Do you know why the code was the way it was to begin with?

I, too, would like to see this incorporated into an Atlantis update. Any chance of this happening?

well, in theory the same thing can be done to live, i.e. you only need new .so files. however those are not in svn, they are built during the build process. all the tools for creating xbmclive is in tools/ afaik

I'm not using SVN -- as I'm sort of an "intermediate" with Linux -- I am just using the official Atlantis release, to which I just do "sudo aptitude upgrade" -- looking for simplicity here if at all possible.

I have built other apps and I have always regretted it. Maybe I am lazy (probably), maybe just stupid (also likely). In any event, I prefer using "official" installations.
If someone on the team could just let us know if/when this will be "officially" released, that would be great.

After updating the dlls I also got rid of the grayness on the screen.
However, I'm still having issues with the m2ts from my canon hg20. I can see the video but it is pretty choppy. Also, the audio seems to loop back on itself every so often. Before when I had the gray issue the audio was fine even though the video wasn't displaying correctly.
My gut feel is that it could be a hardware issue on my side but wanted some confirmation. My platform is a 9600gt, Athlon 64 4600 x2, 3gb ram, vista 32bit.
I can post a sample video if that would be of help. Just let me know where.
Thanks
