Slow CPU? Shows 1000.00 MHz in XBMC
#1
I am running a freshly installed version of XBMC on ATV 2.2.
ATV video setting is set to 720p
Video out is via HDMI

in XBMC it says that my CPU speed is 1000.00 MHz

My standard definition videos which played just fine on the older hacked ATV v1.0 are now jittery (like playing in slow motion almost).

Is there some setting to get the CPU speed up to where it should be or is this just XBMC not reading the CPU speed properly?

Also I have been running XBMC on old modded XBox which has even slower CPU and I never had this sort of jittery playback.

turn off software upscaling.

the appletv has a 1GHz pentium-m which equates to about a 2.2GHz P4

OK thanks - I turned off the software upscaling and video works better now.

As for the CPU for some reason I thought it was a faster CPU.
