my appletv updated itself yesterday. i repatched the box using the atvusb-creator stick and got ssh access, etc, reconfigured.

initially the remote seemed to work ok. then i tried doing the xbmc update (i see there is a thread about the launcher not working) and after this, my remote is no longer able to move on the main menu.

however, if i hold menu & left, to unlink a remote, this works and i see the logo in the top left, but the remote still doesnt work!

any help please?

I had the same problem. You need to downgrade to v2.2 to make your remote work again... or wait for a fix for 2.3
