Ive tried plugging in a couple different external drives to my atv's USB port but I cant seem to then find how to add it as a source. I look under volumes but I cant see it.

Do I need to format it with a specific filesystem or something? Am I forgetting a step? Is this impossible?

Enabling USB seems successful via that link ... I shall have to give it a whirl.
Does anyone know if this procedure also enables the use of an external USB DVD-ROM drive ? That would be nice for XBMC media playback
