XBMC 8.10 causes hard system freeze
#1
To anybody who can help...

I'm having a difficult time getting XBMC 8.10 (and previous versions) running on my system. I can get the main screen up in both window and full-screen mode but after about 4-5 seconds the entire screen goes black and my PC goes into a hard lock state which can only be resolved by a full system power off and on. Since I'm not sure if this is a bug or an issue with my system I am posting this request here first.

System specs:
AMD x64 X2 4200+
1GB ram
ATI Radeon 9600/x1050 Series video
Windows XP Pro SP3

Below is a link to my XBMC.LOG. I have turned on level 2 logging via the AdvancedSettings.XML config file.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I've been using XBMC on my X-Box for 2+ years now and love it. I'm excited about the chance to run it on a system with more power.

Thanks!

It appears the problem is with the video card. Switched to another video card (ATI 8500DV) and everything is running smoothly! Able to play all my videos (including h.264) at full speed. The MediaStream skin looks awesome on my Samsung 52" at 1920x1080!
