System: ubuntu 8.10 fresh install

Fixed: turning off pulse audio before launching xbmc

All xvid files is "jumpy" and sound is completly out of sync when playing them under xbmc, they works in vlc and mplayer on the same machine. Divx and mpg files works just fine.

The logs are full of the stuff below when running the files. Divx files and mpegs work just fine.

Dont realy know, I was running the computer at 1280x768 screen resolution and when I just moved it back to 1024x768 it works.. Im getting LOTS of framedrops and sound sync errors in xmbc for xvids when running higher resolutions. I think its the crappy player that they use since I have no problems at all with the same files on mplayer and VLC.

Anyone know if its possible to use mplayer insted under linux?? I think its possible for the win32 version!?
