xbmc crashes on mp3 files
#1
I'll keep this short as it's probably my fault.

xbmc crashes whenever I try and play an mp3 regardless of what mp3. here is a "strace -p `pidof xbmc.bin`" just before I press return over the mp3 file to play.

here is xbmc.log from starting xbmc, going straight to the mp3 and trying to play it.

it's built on gentoo from the ebuild here - http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198849
xbmc-8.10-r1.ebuild with the svn changed to trunk

It has been crashing for about 2 weeks, I figured it was an svn build so I waited but it still crashes in the same way. Everything is up to date on my system. if you need any more info just ask.

thanks.

Just to be sure, do you really have 6 partitions with reiser4 and 3 resierfs and one xfs? But if you could it would probably help more if you could turn up the debug log? should be a ticker in settings somewere.

Cheers,
Tobias

It would probably be a good idea to contact the ebuild author and see if he is experiencing similar or has in the past. We don't officially support the ebuild as we don't have a hand in it in anyway.

yep partitions are correct (xfs is myth livetv folder)

I recompiled with debug turned on and everything worked again. Eek
