what you need is name them correctly and activate stack files

They need to be called CD1 and CD2 or Part1 and Part2 then turn on stacking in options

ie
Iron Man.cd1.avi
Iron Man.cd2.avi

You need to rename the files.

The other option is to join both pieces together using something like virtualdubCool

that's a dumb idea and a waste of time.

you can also add regex to support your movie file names

It's Hardly a dumb idea, It makes far more sense to have the whole movie
in one piece there is no benefit in having it in 2 or more piecesHuh

ok i figured out the problem thanks, now the only weird thing is, when i was doing my trial and error with renaming, i was in "watch my videos" and i renamed bournesupremacy-cd1 and bournesupremacy-cd2 inside of xbmc itself and for some reason it completely disappeared from the my videos list. and then i went to the root file on my hard drive and it was actually not there too. i later realised that i had to rename the files outside of xbmc but do you guys have any idea where my files could have disappeared to??

Are you sure you have not deleted them by mistake?
