ATV xvids via smb have low framerate
#1
I can post a log of needed (need to read on how to do that) but I thought I would throw the question out to see if it's just an easy setting that I'm missing.

I have a 2.2 ATV running XBMC Atlantis.

Everything seems to work fine except that my xvid videos via windows smb all run at about 20 fps, making them look kind of stuttery. I tried an ISO file and while it took a long time to open, it ran just fine at 24 fps.

Any ideas before I post more info?

I play all my files over SMB on XBMC on my ATV. They work fine (Xvid, DivX, MP4, etc.). I've had XBMC in various version from the betas up to the most recent, running on ATV 2.1, 2.2, and now 2.3.

It looks like I exaggerated the problem. The first 3 files I tested all played at 20fps, the 15-20 I've tried since all play fine. It is odd that these few don't work on the ATV when they worked fine on the Xbox. It is however, a problem I can definitely live with.
