hi,
i am unable to ftp into atv-xbox.
i noticed in the network --> servers section it only things for the web server.
nothing for the ftp server.
how do i add the ftp server?
also, how do i change the time/time zone?

i've reset the unit and then updated to 2.3
i then reinstalled the software again . . . same thing.
any suggestions?
no option for ftp server, just the web server.

I had the same issue when i updated to 2.3 as well

I use transmit to connect and transfer files, i had to change my protocol to sftp instead of ftp and use port 22 instead of 21.

Im not exactly sure what changed but i dont think its XBMC.

Once you use a patchstick with AppleTV, you enable SSH connection.

If your ssh connection is enable, then you can use SFTP (which is a traditional FTP connection but that use a SSH tunnel instead [it's more secure]).

So open your FTP client (i would suggest, Cyberduck (mac) or Filezilla (mac or PC)), add a SFTP connection to the host (on the port 22 [SSH is always on that port]) :

Host : IP_of_AppleTV OR appletv.local
Login : frontrow
Password : frontrow

i was trying to log-in using xbox instead of frontrow.
