XBMC Video output (DVD)

Hello!

I have here a XBMC 8.10final1-intrepid4 in Full Screen on a Kubuntu 8.10. It's connected to a PAL 4:3 TV. XBMC is set for PAL 4:3.

I have problems when I play original DVDs.

The DVD movies are scribble or bucking. It depends on what configuration I chose in the Video OSD Menu while I play the DVD. But there is no setting that works perfect.

If I play a DVD in Full Screen in VLC I have no problem at all.

Are there any other settings where I can improve the video output!?

Any help I would appreciate!

Thanks
David

What's your hardware configuration? How well do they play if copied to the HDD?
Openelec Gotham, MCE remote(s), Intel i3 NUC, DVDs fed from unRAID cataloged by DVD Profiler. HD-DVD encoded with Handbrake to x.264. Yamaha receiver(s)

It's a AMD X2 4850e(2x 2,5GHz) on a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H with 2GB Memory.
There is also a shutter or delay when I play different movies in different codecs and also DVD-Rips from the harddisk.

I don't think that I have the same problem like the people in "
No multithreaded Video decoding on XBMC INTREPID version (in-depth testing) " because when I play movie both CPU kernels have quite the same load.

For me the video output options are very confusing - maybe someone had the same problem and could fix fit. Maybe my XBMC config is wrong because I have black borders on the top and the bottom in XBMC and when I play a movie in XBMC.
