Concerning the Ubuntu Forums the main admins have been hard at work fixing some database issues.
We should be 100% normal now, sorry for any inconvenience.

Some features are disabled (probably none that you'll notice) until we find out what was causing the troubles. :p

Stop using MS SQL as your DB for a start..

Yeah, shortly after I posted this the forums were back up. However, as I was getting antsy, as I really wanted to watch (and listen!) to Planet Earth. Anyway, I got it sorted out.
