Thanks for the clarification. Any plan to support BD iso in the near future?

Hi guys,
after reading on the subject,
i guess i conclude that XBMC can't play Retail Blu-Ray Discs....

I did try to play a Copied DVD Disc and it worked perfectly...
But i didn't try a Retail DVD Disc yet....

So my question is simply, why can't it play Retail Blu-Ray Discs?

I thought that as long as i have AnyDVD HD running, it would be ok... no?

AnyDVD HD should be good. Alternative is MakeMKV and a script

Yes and no. It will play the actual movie, but you won't get the pretty menus and navigation. And you may have to hunt for the movie (not sure about this part, as I haven't used this feature in a long while).

oh ok,,,, dont care too much about bd menus Tongue

as long as there's a way to make it play in French Language from the start

without having to play in the audio settings...

You've got me there. I'm a default English audio guy. Never had to mess with default audio settings.

Is there something I need to do before selecting the .bdmv file? Which .bdmv file do I need to select? I've tried selecting:

/CERTIFICATE/id.bdmv
/BDMV/index.bdmv
/BDMV/MovieObject.bdmv

but none of these will launch the movie? I'm using Dharma RC2 on Ubuntu.

It seems you don't have libbluray installed and/or XBMC was not compiled with libbluray support.

I have both libbluray and xbmc installed from the repos. Is the xbmc-svn repository version not compiled with the blu-ray option?

You need enable file stacking.

Do I have to compile XBMC with libbluray enabled, or can I install Dharma Final?

File stacking is enabled and libbluray is installed, but I can't play any *.bdmv file.

File stacking is enabled and libbluray is installed, but I can't play any *.bdmv file.

I can confirm this behavior. Do we need to compile xbmc with libbluray already installed?
