Problems with AVI Playback
#1
Hello to all,
I've noticed that some AVI's are making problems played with XBMC.
The AVI's i mention are made from a Canon Photo Cam and with :

1) XBMC Atlantis Release 14/11 :
Video playback is in slow motion cause of the pausing cause of the buffering(written on Screen) almost all the time.

2) XBMC -Rev17061-jester:
Video Playback almost perfect only a few sound distortions, CPU usage 19% 8-10 Frames dropped

3) XBMC -Rev17089-jester:
Video problems back, video play's in Slow motion again, but no Buffering Message on the Screen

4) Using Windows MediaPlayer 11 , none of the above Problems occur.

My Pc Data:
CPU P4 3,4Ghz, Hyperthreading Enabled
4Gig(3,5 Actual) Ram DDR Dual Channel
Win XP Pro SP2
GPU Geforge 7300GT

Here the Link to the Video Samples to check :

Strange, I just tested that clip on my 'old' single core, 2GHz PC and it played perfectly (30% CPU) using Rev17252.

Hi Hitcher,

The debug log is full of Warnings, that match to the Audio and Delay problems i mentioned....

Further I tested it with Hyperthreading DISABLED, the result was the same....

Here the Link to the Debug log:

Cheers,
Konstantin

PS: where did you downloaded the 17252 Version Huh
XBMC, Intel P4 3.0GHz with HT, 2GB RAM, ATI 3450 HDMI GPU
