Just compiled xbmc from source (Jan 21 2009, SVN:17246) and it's running extremely slow. I'm currently at a loss as to why this is.
Trying to run it on my laptop with Debian testing (lenny). GPU is an Intel GMA X3100.
Updated to the latest xorg intel driver available in apt (Xorg: xorg-server 2:1.4.2-10, i915 driver 2:2.3.2-2+lenny5). DRI appears to work fine and other OpenGL applications run fine. Build a new vanilla kernel yesterday to get up-to-date there aswell (2.6.28.1, i686).
Any idea what's wrong? CPU usage is suspiciously low (around 10% on both cores), so that can't be it. Interestingly it runs noticably faster when DRI is not loaded...
