When you do a seek e.g. for 1 minute forward (by pressing the up arrow), it doesn't request the server to stop and continue the streaming from the requested timepoint (+1 minute) but instead it waits to download the whole stream up until that timepoint. This is very time consuming, and may even take minutes to seek, is there a solution for this?
I know that this is not a problem of the youtube streaming, because in youtube's flash video player, you can precisely select and change the timepoint and the stream stops and starts from there on without the need to download the whole stream.

This plugin will likely be deprecated very soon in favor of the new one, which works so well it's eerie.

This was working for me this morning, but now It does not want to play any video, gives the following error in the log:
YoutubeClient::construct_video_url (327) - HTTP Error 404: Not Found
I have not logged in with the plugin or touched the settings since it was last working.
I tried pasting the URL its trying to find http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wGl4zj6F...ata_player and this seems to load find on a pc.

When I launch the plugin... it runs... it loads the "most recent, discussed, viewed etc" but it doesn't play any video..
Help please, this is the only way to watch Youtube on xbmc4xbox...

I'm afraid I was not able to fix this by myself, specially with no one pointing in the right direction. I installed Dharma RC1 and the new youtube plugin is indeed pretty nice and is working without issues with all videos so far.

Cause I think I have xbmc running on an old xbox and it requires the latest Dharma build...

I'm using latest XBMC stable version (not eden) and this plugin doesn't seems to be working. For example it doesn't auto login in Youtube and when i select the option into the addon menu to manually log in, it just hangs. Also it shows a script error when trying to play any video, it seems that youtube has changed the API and this addon needs to be updated...
