Nvidia's Platform - Ion. Possible HTCP device for XBMC?

This seems like a dream considering size / potential low cost...

It's important to point out that the use of Ion as is would require hardware decoding for HD material. There's actually a very interesting thread on this topic called VDPAU in another section, but the only way to get a similar result in Windows is to use the external player, which isn't quite as integrated a solution.

Of course, that isn't to say that Ion won't be extremely exciting. I'm also looking forward to it. It's just a quick note to temper expectations.
