I've added the DLL files and installed C++ 2005 and 2008 runtimes which solved the previous DLL error. Now when I start (either the windowed or full) XBMC I get a black screen for a while (10 seconds maybe) then a restart. No logo, nothing.

I presume any config etc is done within the interface itself, as I can't see any standalone config exe.

Thanks, but made no difference.

I did however solve the issue by changing desktop resolution to 1920x1080
