Sorry I am a little new to all this. I have been using ripit to put my dvds onto harddrives.
There is a lot of talk about iso files which as far as I can tell are IMG files weighing the same as the TS folder.
So what is the point?

IMO, it is easier to just have single files for each movie instead of folders with multiple files in them. Also, at least on my xbox, iso files load way faster than TS folders. The last time I tested it, it took about 12 seconds for a ts folder movie to load and 2-4 seconds for an iso. After a bunch of testing I wound up converting all of my ts folders to iso.

I always choose the TS folders option instead of iso. But thats because I connected an external hard drive direct to the atv usb port. It has to be formatted fat32 (for pc users). Fat32 couldn't handel big 4gig files. So keep that I mind if your planning to connect an externel drive to the atv.
