I have a soft modded xbox and tried to do an upgrade of the xbmc software, only problem is I attempted this after a few beers!

I think what I have done is while copying over the updated version of the xbmc software I renamed the new version to a folder called "xbox media centre" and the old version to a folder called "xbmc2". The problem is the xbox is trying to find the xbmc software in a folder called "xbmc" which no longer exists.

The xbox now just boots to the xbox logo screen and I do not have access to ftp. I tried pressing the white key to get into an alternate dashboard but I dont think there is one installed.

Anyone know if there is a way to recover my xbox!

Wrong sub-forum, but I suspect that if you can boot games through the DVD drive, you could probably find a bootable disc that would give you FTP access.
