HDMI audio using graphic card.
#1
I have a Gigabyte M61VME-S2 motherboard and a GEFORCE 8600 GT.
I run the box over HDMI to a LCD tv using vista32.

There is a cable from mothercard to proved the graphic card with digital audio i beleive, and audio work great in vista with XBMC.

But XBMC in Vista was a bit jerky and slow running matroska and x64, so i decided to try the XBMC live version.

Video run perfectly smooth, but no sound whatsoever, i looked for possible configuration of selected audio and port is only a textreference in XBMC live.
I tried both analog and digital although i guess the HDMI only accept digital PCM?

I think the motherboard use Realtek Azalia audiochip, in Vista is Realtek HDA driver.
But maybe the Azalia not supported in XBMC live.
Or is it the digital port out to the graphic card that is not enabled?
I have not tried to listen to the analog audio out port, but find it possible there actually is audio out there.
