Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before (could not find the answer in the forums) or if this is plain stupid. I intend to connect my newly built HTPC machine to my Sony LCD TV in HDMI. My TV is 1920x1080 and I was wondering if I needed to have my graphic card set to that exact resolution in Windows or, as I will be using mainly XBMC, selecting 1080p in the screen preferences will force the output to fullscreen 1920x1080?

It'll work fine. I run my desktop in 1280x720 and launch XBMC at 1920x1080.
