Looking at upgrading my mobo and processor for xbmc and came across this Asus M3N78 PRO Motherboard CPU Bundle - AMD Phenom 9500 2.20GHz Retail Processor Full info HERE. Is there any reason why this wouldn't be a good choice?

If this machine is primarily for XBMC, then I think the 6000+ dual core running at 3GHz may be better as it would provide much high grunt for the two cores the XBMC can use.

I have just carried out an upgrade using the Phenom II which is 3GHz quad, but overclockable and with much better internal cache. I know it is more expensive, but the system is now very smooth.

Thanks! I ended up going with the Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 2.5GHz. I couldn't afford to go with the 3GHz at this time so I'm hoping the one I got will be sufficient.

You get the combo deal at Frys? Just curious how those Biostar MBs are if you did.
