XBMC freeze when using OSD
#1
Question
I can index and play videos fine, but as soon as use the OSD the system will freeze.

Even if I kill xbmc from a terminal (Ctrl-Alt-F1) I still have to reboot the whole system since I cannot get the mouse back.

Any suggestions where to start troubleshooting this? Any log files I should check?

Running Ubuntu 8.10 and using amn nvidia GeForce 6150, part of the motherboard. OpenGL requirements seem to be met.

Found the problem, it is PulseAudio. If I kill PulseAudio before starting XBMC then everything works fine.

Is this PulseAudion problem well known? Any workarounds?
