I know there are already several theads about using a remote in XBMC, but the information about the lagging factor is very spread out.

I use the EventGhost solution together with a MCE remote, and it actually works pretty good.

BUT this lagging, compared to lirc & Ubuntu, is rather annoying and I am strongly thinking about switching back to Ubuntu again just for this reason.

Maby someone out there has some good tips on this, or maby even a good solution?

I noticed that when I had multiple actions set to one button press that things lagged, even if some of them were disabled. It appeared to me that the order of the actions mattered.

For example, when i had something like this i noticed it lagged.

>Up
>>XBMC Up
>>Keystroke Up (disabled)
>>MCE Up

But if I switched it around and had something like this it did not.
>Up
>>MCE Up
>>XBMC Up
>>Keystroke Up (disabled)

Don't know if that's what is going on with yours but hopefully it helps someone. It drove me nuts for a couple days.
