Should I see a "Working/Scanning/<whatXBMCdoes> window under Linux too
#1
Question
I am confused,

I installed a Windows version to check something and after I assigned a source, a small window poped up in the upper right corner which told me what XBMC was doing (scannin file XXXXX.....) with the skin PM3.HD.

I tested it under Ubuntu, no little window which tells me what XBMC does.

Is this done by design or is the status windows switched of by an option under linux?

Totaly confused....

I should read the the online manual before asking a question:

<backgroundupdate>true</backgroundupdate> <!-- set to hide the video scanner dialog from the gui -->

was the option which was obviously set to "true" by default or some change in the past.

BUT,
while the windows status window is telling me exactly what XBMC does, the linux windows is only reporting: "Downloading TV show information\n Scanning for new content".

Did I overlook some other switches?
