I'm watching a video and by 17 minutes in i've got 2700+ dropped frames. Cpu is on 4% max at any one time.
CPU 4850e 2GB ram.
seems to happen with almost all my movies/tv shows. this one is extreme, but mostly it seems to drop a frame or skip every 2 or 3 seconds. im not really computer savvy, so any advice is greatly appreciated
EDIT: Things are fine when im using VLC

No I DO need to be an asshole about it when so many times we get first posts in forums where right at the top it says READ THIS FIRST and HOW TO EFFECTIVELY POST YOUR PROBLEM. This place would be a lot cleaner and efficient if everyone read those first. But we know that will never happen cuz its takes a couple mins of peoples lives and everyone wants instant gratification without effort.

Thanks heaps. The first build I tried seemed to turn the trick. Seamless video now.
