How do you enter library mode? If I am correct I am currently only in files mode (the only views are list, panel, wall and flow) and none of the views show the metadata (ie: movie info, television info, etc)

Library Mode of what? Movies, TV Shows, Music?
For Movies and TV Shows just use the "Movies" or "TV Shows" buttons on the home screen. The "Videos" button leads you to the Files Mode.
For Music use the "Music" button and you will - depending on your last way of viewing it - in File Mode by default but there's an option at the very top (where you can change the view mode etc as well) which is called "Library" so just click it and you should get switched to the Library mode.

Unless you haven't created a library in the first place, in which case I recommend backing up a step or two and actually reading the wiki's on this very topic.
