Crazy stuff. Alright, no, do not install over the old install. Uninstall the old install. Delete the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\XBMC

Install from this website:

Try running again. If it crashes, post that log file.

Been a few days, but cleaned off the desk.

Uninstalled the previous version and then installed the one you directed me to Babylon:

Yup. This was what I was looking for on the old debug log. Download video drivers from the source of your video card. MS hates OpenGL.

My apologies Gentlemen, after all this is my test bed machine and somewhere along the way, an image was tossed on it that DID NOT have the ati drivers on it and I was under the impression it did - popped them on and it booted - now I can play.
