XBMC running on startup v-sync problem
#1
New member here. Id like to start by saying thanks to all who have worked on this project. It really is the best solution currently available.

So ive got XBMC running of my PC fine with V-Sync working and everything runs fine if I run the program once windows is into the desktop.

However if I try to get XBMC to autorun on windows startup it seems to lose v-sync. If I close and rerun XBMC v-sync comes back and is working fine.

I have tried auto running it using a bat file, replacing explorer with xbmc in the shell, running it via eventghost and some other launchers but all result in losing v-sync. I also tried loading it after a delay incase it was waiting for drivers to load but no luck. hope someone can help.

here are details of my system.

Windows XP sp3
P4 2.4gz
1gb ram
intel 865g graphics
soundmax audio
TV connected via DVI-HDMI (running 1920x1080 50hz)
XBMC version Babylon alpha 1

CPU usage tends to hover around 24-40% and playback is smooth when v-sync is working. There seems to be no frame drops.

Any help will be much appreciated. many thanks.

I have the same problem!
I just didn't realize until now that it might be related to the fact that i recently changed the xp shell to eventghost, which autostarts XBMC.
Running Tiny XP SP3, XBMC 8.10, onboard ATI Radeon HD3200
