i'm also an xbox user and understand the frustration of things not working quite right.
unfortunately websites that are used for the plugins change very frequently which breaks plugins.
paste your xbmc.log file into pastebin.com or pastebin.ca and paste the link here to see if plugins that are in working order are not working for you.
the plugins that you've named are all pretty old ones that haven't been updated in a while. due to the nature of plugins and the fact that websites change often, if they aren't kept up to date they quit working.
look for the up to date plugins via the SVN (

also, you can check out Navi-X (
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=43884) which goes in your scripts and is updated very frequently. i'll admit that the navigation takes a while to get used to, but there's a ton of content with more added all the time. it's also easy to add your own content and make your own plx playlist with instructions on how to do it. i've added a mushi-shi playlist for the english dubbed version and it took me probably 15 minutes to do it and that included copying and pasting the episode information. once you do find playlists that you like on there, you can easily add them to your favorites list to make navigation easier.
another option is the installer-passion script which is also updated often and includes plugins and scripts with a short description of what they include.(

if a plugin is not working anymore, go to the plugin's thread and let the creator know with a helpful post including your xbmc.log and description of what's happening.
lastly, if you don't want to rely on someone to keep a plugin updated, here's a great step by step tutorial to help you understand how to make plugins yourself:

good luck.
