I'mn working on a tight budget for my HTPC and am running XBMC live of a 2GB compact flash drive in a system with 1GB of RAM. I have not managed to get standby to work and am intending on using hibernate instead, however the 2GB is not enough to store the hibernate system file.

I was wondering if it would be possible to move the hibernate file to a spare USB 2GB drive that I have available so as not to take up space on the compact flash.
