im noob here and i read thread about external players and i must say im confused...understand advancedsettings.xml par but patch part dont...

pls is it even possible set kmplayer as external player??

if someone can help me to set this thing and explain me what to do part by part from scratch...tyvm

Greetings julinho! The patch is not needed anymore since External Player support is now a part of XBMC-SVN updates. Download the latest XBMC-zip-updates or setup-updates for windows (link below). Latest rev. currently: "Rev20596". Also remember to put the "advancedsettings.xml" file to your profiles XBMC-userdata and not the userdata folder in the XBMC installation directory. For example in vista:

C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\advancedsettings.xml

It is very easy to setup, follow the steps in the official external player thread and comment there if you run into any problems with the parameters/args for kmplayer if it does not work with the default settings. Cheers
