I recently installed XBMC on my Windows 7 machine. I can connect to network shares just fine, but none of the internet features work. Weather, IMDB lookup, etc. all freeze when I try to use them. I tried disabling my firewall to no avail. I read in the FAQ that you have to do some stuff with DNS and IP settings, however, I can't find those settings anywhere.

Any ideas?

have you defined a gateway address?

XBMC uses whatever connection is available. If you can use the internet with any browser it should work with XBMC (if the browser doesn't use a proxy).
You might want to check which IP address is XBMC using if you have multiple adapters.
