[RELEASE] Justin.tv (Video) Plugin
Vaelek Wrote:After reading through this thread it's not very clear (to me anyhow) if this is working on eden or not. I tried 0.2.2 and get an error right away when launching the add-on. Is the dylib linked a ways back required with eden + 0.2.2? I tried the one from #395 as well and while I can browse I can not play anything. My main motivation for this is I've found a number of live streaming tv channels that are on JTV that don't work with LiveStreamer.. But after what I saw with the one in #395, this doesn't have anything to do with live streams? If that's the case, is there any possible way to play live JTV streams in xbmc? Below is the error I get with 0.2.2. Also, forgive my ignorance, but what is ATV2 that keeps getting mentioned?

This is for Eden(beta, nightly) only, will not work with XBMC Dharma.

ATV2 == Apple TV 2nd generation.

Oh man.. I thought I WAS running that the whole time now but somehow ended up downloading Dharma instead :\

Does this provide some sort of integration with Twitch.tv as well? I'm enjoying some Star Wars stream these days, and would love to view them via XBMC and my large TV. Instead of my Mac in bed.

Thank you!

having the same error, how did you get yours working

I made it work without 'Chown'. Note that the librtmp file does not reside in mobile"s path; therefore, mobile need not be made the owner.

Thanks to all who contributed solutions for this great add-on, as well as to you, Divingmule.

No. You only need to quit XBMC and relaunch.

Has anyone tested the updated plugin on channels that need a 'yes' confirmation before accessing?

Edit: It works!! completely bypasses the age consent thing. Good work guys.

I'm having some problems using this plugin, hope someone can help. I like to watch a lot of Starcraft II content and obviously Jtv/Twitch.tv is a big rescource for this so this plugin is brilliant for that or would be if I could get streams to work. Don't get me wrong a few stream do work normally but most don't. I have made a log of the error it produces when it fails to play a stream in the hope it will help diagnose my problem, it can be found here http://pastebin.com/6jjtmHwX

TIA for any help

If you don't mind getting your hands dirty you can try editing the default.py, around line 371 change -
Code:
swf = ' swfUrl=http://www.justin.tv/widgets/live_embed_player.swf?channel='+name
To -
Code:
swf = ' swfUrl=http://www.justin.tv/widgets/live_embed_player.swf?channel='+name+' swfVfy=True'

But I suspect code will have to be added to get the redirected swfUrl.

Post your xbmc.log. That'll definitely help to pin it down.

Thanks for the quick reply. I edited the line you suggested but unfortunately the same problem persists. Do you think it will be possible to fix it in future?

So you have both divingmule's and the other one installed?

"ERROR: Unknown option jtv"

Your librtmp is not updated.

Make sure to replace the librtmp with a newer one. Search this thread for instruction.
