Oh, great. Installing that driver didn't work, the process went fine, but during reboot X claimed not to find stuff, and started in low graphics mode. I reverted to the old driver (v 96 works best, I've found), but now XBMC claims to not have OpenGL support and refuses to start... restoring the backed up xorg.conf did not work.
I'm stuck.

And the generic fix dpkg-reconfigure -all just made it worse, now X doesn't start, and in recover mode I don't have Wifi drivers, so I'm fucked basically.

Big question now is: Should I reinstall Ubuntu 9.04 from scratch.... or should I install Ubuntu 8.10 from scratch, and use XBMC 8.10, which worked flawelessly for me... Hmm....
